Happy New Year to all of you - mine passed here just as your DCs might have been considering starting a new day (aren't time zones odd things?).

Did nothing last night - DH played his bloody computer game, I hand held trained a new nurse for Bee, then sat on the sofa and continued to work on knitting a "proper" 4th Doctor scarf for DS (at it 3 days now, and I am only 15" into a 12'+ long scarf).

Up half the night with one nightmare after another (mine, not the DCs) and up for the day at 5am.

Spent the morning trying to do some creative accounting and robbing Peter to pay Paul so we don't lose any of the "important" things (like power and heat - DH is still out of work) and am still sitting around in my jammies.

If this is what 2013 is going to be like, I want out now.

Wow, can't remember when I last had a lie in till 9:22! Still, the fireworks kept me up for ages after midnight.

ds is thrilled with the thought of a new year, all those lovely new dates !!!

he is finally feeling better, ill since christmas... so off to nannys tomorrow..

DS on now covered sofa and still poorly but perked up when we watched the london fireworks that was amazing (and amazingly expensive during these supposed hard times) I am now officially the only one awake oh and there is the dog.

we have had pillocks letting off sky lanterns... flaming- catching fire falling off the balcony of the flats that are a bit too close to comfort. the first one fell on the balcony below them... eek!

Happy New Year all. DS decided to have his quarterly melt-down at bedtime, so I've just sat down after settling him. Gin, gin sounds loverly.

Staying with my parents. DS1 ignored his cousins, but DS2 played with my niece, who is the same age as a lot of his female friends at school, beautifully. He was really sociable and "chatted" with everyone. In the past he's just hidden and stimmed lots.

Hi all! Kids asleep. Xmas decs taken down. Had a bit of a howl because my dad died the day we put them up. Had a lovely bubble bath and hair wash so feel much better now. Lying in bed watching Bridget jones. Going to pad downstairs soon and get some baileys :-)
