Hello Stranger :)

Haven't seen you about in ages. Hope you are ok!

I have been meaning to catch up with you. DD got chicken pox, then DS was off school sick for 2 days and we had a big family wedding last Sunday..... I thought I'd have all week to prepare then both buggers were at home when they should have been elsewhere! It wasn't too bad actually, just not what I'd planned! I was just about to look for your meds thread as I read it but didn't have time to respond. Have I missed anything exciting?

Oh no :( Are the kids okay now?

Big day tomorrow. We are off to adhd clinic and will walk away with prescription. Very scary but I know it's something we have to do!

Nothing exciting on here that I am aware of. I don't come on here that much these days!

Be great if we could catch up soon xx

Do we dare try to arrange another meet-up??
Have you got any idea which med its likely to be? I'll look out for an update.
Hiya Eidsvold, how's your DD and her ears/throat etc? I sent a letter to the hospital here saying we hadn't had a follow up appt and the Consultant phoned me herself! We've got one now, ho ho!

Probably Ritalin I should imagine :-S

You would not believe how badly her behaviour has deterioated. The slightest thing and she completely flips :( The EP who saw her said she is very fragile and has reached her breaking point. I think they have pushed her into ms way too quickly.

Poor ds has had enough and has even said he is embarrased of dd's behaviour Shock which is sad but understandable.

Davros we had her follow up and can you believe bloody grommet from her 'bad' ear has fallen out already Shock BUT she is sleeping so much better - not so cranky during the day and no longer waking at the slightest sound. No more 4 hour naps during the day!!

So doing well in that field. Consultant did say the ear was lovely and clear so the grommet did its job I guess.... see how her hearing continues.

You can never tell how much is just usual development/maturity too can you? But you still have to go through all these processes as it could well have done the trick or helped her learn to sleep better...
BH, let's try to fix a date then? I'll check my calendar tomorrow as I should be in bed now! Just came up to turn down DS's light. I've got a friend whose DS has been on Ritalin for a few years and it has suited him well. You can only try and its for all the right reasons, could really help get her back on track. Can they cut down the m/s exposure?

Have to say, its nice to be back on SN, I've missed it. I haven't had a chance to look at the rest of MN yet, I will have to start from now and not look back at anything, it would take too long.

Davros - she has been withdrawn from all ms. Head admitted that they had pushed dd way to hard with academic side as she is "bright". Ep agreed that she was but also noted how she missed certain chunks of lesson as not understanding everything that was being said. Apparently she cried a lot :(
So we shall see but if things don't improve I shall withdraw her from the school completely.

Shall we let kids go back to school and try and make a date next week once we are settled again?
