Now I am one. The next thread for Beatrice.

So, Beatrice is now 13 months old and developing slowly but surely. She brings joy to everyone she meets and makes my heart swell with pride.

At the moment, she is very poorly in hospital. She appears to have overcome pneumonia, but the remaining secretions are causing her huge problems. Her airway blocks at random with a mucous plug and she has had to be revived with a bag and mask 3 times in the past 24 hours. Naturally, I am in a permanent state of anxiety at the moment. I just want Beatrice home again. We have so many more memories to make.

Please spare a thought for Beatrice's sisters if you can- they too are poorly with a sickness bug and all they really want right now is cuddles with Mummy.

Life is tough right now, but nobody said it would be easy...

You would be amazed at how often you are in the thoughts of a random internet stranger - I just never know what to actually post. You're right - nobody said it would be easy, but it shouldn't have to be this unrelentingly hard for you either. Hope your other DDs are OK soon.

It has been a very hard 13 months for you all though hasn't it :( A huge roller coaster.... but worth every minute of the downs for the ups!! You have made so many lovely, lovely memories with Bea and no one can ever take those away from you.

Lots of love & strength as always
x

Some of us on the old thread, frustrated by our inability to HELP, have made a Paypal donation so that the imminent house move (coinciding with Bea's stay in hospital) can be made a bit easier for the family by professional packers. Cup's poor DH has two poorly girls to look after, as well as the packing to do, and Cup daren't leave poor Bea.

No pressure. Prayers and virtual hugs are as appreciated as money.

elizabethrogers(at)live(dot)co(dot)uk is Cup's Paypal address if you fancy it.

Brilliant Caroleservice :-) donation flying across the waters any minute now! all fingers crossed for Bea getting better soon. If anyone has prayers or good thoughts to spare (after Bea of course) my nephew could use them now 10 hours into his open heart surgery no news yet.

Thinking of you all here. Urgh to Bea's dsis's having a sickness bug, how horrible. Heres hoping that Bea is out of hospital soon.

I have contributed a little something to your moving fund - hopefully we can all help make the move a little smoother.

On the other thread you said you felt terrible, please don't - one of the best things about mumsnet is being able to be of genuine help and support to someone. I have had so much help from so many people here, I really would have been lost without mumsnet. It is nice, therefore to be able to pay it forward.

Susssiq prayers indeed for a successful surgery.

As for random Internet people, I have made a wonderful friend in cup as I was fortunate to meet her at the Tea for Bea fundraiser. Smile

Good move Caroleservice! We want Cup to keep googling that packing service - and maybe the family will be able to get some removal men in too.

We know that you want our prayers and good wishes and thoughts most of all Cup, but some of us really would like (and are able) to give practical (which given our own situations and locations means financial) support. Please accept it as a gift for Beatrice - and of course as help too for all the Teaset. You have so much to deal with at the moment. Hoping that all your DDs get the cuddles and time with you they need and all are better soon.

Susssig - will say a prayer for your nephew too.

thanks folks a bit shaky now. Would love to meet the teaset but doubt i ever will live in sweden so would be a long way to go but following them here for the past 13 months has been a rollercoaster ride that I don't intend getting off anytime soon!

Do hope you receive enough funds for packers and movers, cup just to take a bit of strain off you and your dh. You must both be so exhuausted, physically and emotionally. I can hardly imagine it.

I think MNHQ were actually (hopefully) vouching for your integrity by saying they had met you, but of course they needed to mention the necessary cautions. Smile Anyway, remember that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Hope Bea now goes from strength to strength. xx
