Hi all. I have tentatively booked the room for Wed 31st October (halfterm).

I am going to see it tomorrow and will confirm arrangements then.

Time wise I thought mid-morning but also that as Coff has the longest journey we should try to fit in with her.

If anyone has any thoughts on time or any other requirements they want me to investigate, can you post on here or PM me before 11 am tomorrow please.

Anyone else who can come let me know.

Once the details are fixed I will PM anyone who has replied on this or previous threads with the details.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you.

Well if you are coming from Cornwall end JJWMummy I am in coach D all booked. If your DH cant get time off then catch same train and I can lend a hand as I am only bringing one smile

JJWMummy Fri 05-Oct-12 23:00:24

I'm working on it presently, need to convince DH to have the day off work, no way I'm dragging all 3 to Exeter on the train, no matter how much fun they might think it! 1 maybe, but not 3 :-)

GhostofMammaTJ Fri 05-Oct-12 18:24:44

Oh a possibility for me, need to check my holiday.

coff33pot Fri 05-Oct-12 18:12:10

when I say prefers he is gentle as can be with younger ones but will talk the hind legs off a donkey when he finds a teen to talk too/follow smile

coff33pot Fri 05-Oct-12 18:11:05

DS is 7 but prefers older children. He is into guns, tombraider, more guns and latest music, food oh and what every adult does for a living, why they wear their hair that way and can they stand on one leg, climb a wall and whistle dixie at the same time grin

TirednessKills Fri 05-Oct-12 17:34:31

That's great coff, looking forward to meeting you at last grin

Nohaudin - how about booking from 11 so zzzzz can fit it in before afternoon school run?

I'm hoping I can find a way to persuade ds that it will be fun hmm

Who else is bringing dc's? I'll have ds 9 who has Aspergers and is currently obsessed with natural history.

coff33pot Fri 05-Oct-12 16:51:13

ok silly coffee read it all again! there is an earlier train that gets me to central 11.53!! so I have booked that now as being half term it may be pot luck to get a ticket if I leave it too late smile So DS and I are going lol x

NoHaudinMaWheest Fri 05-Oct-12 15:39:11

Could book 1pm to 5 or 12 to 4pm and then hopefully everyone could overlap a bit even if not stay the full time. Thoughts anyone?

We have a kitchen and table and chairs so if anyone wants to bring lunch or pop out to shops a few minutes away to get some that would be doable.

BTW zzzzz there is some pay and display on road parking nearby a few spaces even opposite centre door. It would be a bit hit and miss whether you could get a space though.

zzzzz Fri 05-Oct-12 14:52:48

May be difficult as I have to get back for school runs. sad.

Chundle Fri 05-Oct-12 14:23:19

Yayy that's pur half term week!!! Keep me posted on details

coff33pot Fri 05-Oct-12 14:04:44

Judging by rail times I can arrive at Exeter Central at about 1.20pm? the journey is over 3 hours and I have to drive to the station first to catch it. Would that be ok with everyone? I am guessing it would be close to 2pm before I found anyone?

Before I book and book a journey back how long is everyone staying in Exeter for? I am not at all fussy on what time I go home grin

signandsmile Fri 05-Oct-12 12:47:04

yippee, yippee, i can come! will send ds off for fun day at old child minders, (he will love it) and I will flollop down on the train, yay!!!!

grin

coff33pot Thu 04-Oct-12 20:54:08

Will do when my net is working as its start and stop sort of night grrrrr. I check train times and connections etc tomorrow and give to an arrival time so you can work from just after that if you like. smile

NoHaudinMaWheest Thu 04-Oct-12 20:23:32

Great Coff. Can you tell me what time a reasonable train would get in and then I can book a time. As the groups that usually use the room aren't meeting in half term we have pretty much free choice.

Plenty of taxis at the station or you can get an H bus which takes you within 5 mins walk or it is walkable about 25 mins from St Davids station though.

If I can get Ds to help with the technology I'll do a map link for anyone who needs it when I PM everyone tomorrow or the weekend.

coff33pot Thu 04-Oct-12 18:38:50

Yay! grin ok I will share the cake ..... smile

zzzzz Thu 04-Oct-12 18:37:26

Train station is in town, so if in the centre should be walk able.

Yay!

coff33pot Thu 04-Oct-12 18:25:19

Also if someone knows Exeter because I dont are there Taxis at the train station? If so could someone pm me where exactly I am taking myself LOL x

coff33pot Thu 04-Oct-12 18:24:12

Ours is off from and including 26th Oct till 3rd Nov so any day fine with me smile DS will be coming with me anyhow due to DH working x

TirednessKills Thu 04-Oct-12 17:35:10

That is our half term so I'll have to bring a reluctant ds... But it will be lovely to see y'all again and meet some more of you.

zzzzz Thu 04-Oct-12 13:25:37

Our half term is the week before too, but that makes it easier for me.

I'd love to come.

Galena Thu 04-Oct-12 13:13:00

It's ok - I know a lot of places are that week. I think Gloucestershire are just being awkward!

NoHaudinMaWheest Thu 04-Oct-12 12:47:07

AE Exeter centre of town I'm afraid. Be lovely to see you.

Oh sorry Galena. Hope most people are on half term that week I am afraid I just assumed it would be the same for most places.

If a lot of people can't make it it might be possible to change.

Galena Thu 04-Oct-12 12:36:02

31st isn't our half term - we're off the week before. sad

appropriatelyemployed Thu 04-Oct-12 11:59:58
