My first post in SN (was rather hoping that I would never need to!), but unfortunately it seems that my DD has sensory processing problems. We haven't yet had an assessment but all the symptoms seem to be there.
We don't really want to wait for an NHS assessment, so was looking for a private OT centre that would do a proper assessment and provide treatment if needed. Have been looking at the Hopscotch centre (but more likely to use the associated Starjumpz in Tunbridge Wells as it is closer) and was wondering if anyone has had any experiences?
My biggest fear is that in our haste to make a difference to my DD's life, we have an inadequate assessment done or worse are sucked in by quackery that turns out not to have any scientific basis. I've looked at the website but its so hard to tell.
Would be v. grateful for any reports on Hopscotch/Starjumpz, or any suggestions for similar in the Kent/Sussex area?
