I have noticed with dd1 - she seems to be drooling/dribbling a lot lately - think it might be related to the surgery - whether the mouth salivates more cause of what happened as it thinks it needs to iyswim.

did your dd do this??

Any improvement in sleep etc with your lo?

Dd1 seems to be sleeping a lot better and even having less during the day as she is doing better at night. Grommets - apparently she is doing lots of talking and clear talking - not sure if it is due to grommets but everyone seems to be commenting on it.

Yes, I think we did see some dribbling for a while after, I thought due to "new arrangement" in the nose/throat and getting used to it. How long ago was the op? Her talking definitely improved although it could have been going to happen anyway, so who knows? Her sleeping was always good, although the consultant tried to tell me that she had apnoea and they did a sleep study the night before the op (only to find she didn't have it) and the consultant told me this is why she was always tired and eating sweet things to keep up her energy. Um, but she slept well, was not tired in the day and wasn't always eating sweet things. Ho hum! DD's op was end of November and we still haven't been sent a date for the 6 week follow up Shock I would chase them if I was worried..... must remember to do it. She's a bit grunty this week.

Her op was two and a half weeks ago. She did have sleep apnoea - I actually caught her once stop breathing and then rouse herself and start BUT can you believe the registrar/consultant refused to do a sleep study - the registrar told me to sit by her bed one night and just watch her!!!

We had our six week appt given to us before we left the hospital.

I think her hearing had improved a fair bit and the grommets just finished it off oyswim - think she is getting a clearer sound - of her voice and her surroundings.

I would think the dribbling is related then. Typical, we didn't need a sleep study and got one, you needed one and didn't!!
