today her teacher and teacher's aide at the special ed unit ( where she attends two mornings a week) told me she is doing fab - apparently lots of talking and lots of clear words......

she has slowly been improving at home BUT is going great guns at sedu - they are amazed at all the good talking she is doing....

mmm maybe grommets do work?!?!/ Smile

AND i managed to get her hair washed again tonight... using the shampoo cap. We are off to the hospital to get fitted for pro plugs that she can wear swimming.

a good few days here in eidsvold world.

grommits are great. I'm deaf anyway, so with before I had grommits put in I couldn't hear a thing. My speech really improved with them. Glad she is doing well.

What great news Eidsvold. Did I miss the follow up to the operation? Anyway, it sounds like it all went well. She has made so much progress just to my knowledge from here, so it must be great in RL.

nah Davros - really didn't do one. She seems to have recovered well... day 5 as people warned us wasn't so bad although the middle of day 5 night - she woke screaming in pain... painstop sorted that. Day 10 was Wednesday and she was going stir crazy from being with boring old mum and dd2 so I let her go to special ed unit kindy ( 2 hour morning programme) and then today she is off to mainstream kindy for the whole day.

Sleeping at night is soooo much better - she no longer wakes at every little sound or disturbance, sleeping until at least 6/6.30 rather than 5am. No longer sleeping for three hours of an afternoon and being exhausted by mid morning.

So - so far so good.
