Was at dd's school today and a member of language base came up to me. She said get your tissues ready at the easter performance as dd is singing a solo Shock.
I rang dh and he said no way could he watch as he will cry. I said you and me both.
Off to buy a video camera as have to video it.
I am so proud of my dd. She didn't speak until she was 3 and here she is at 6 singing a solo infront of an audience of people.
Everytime I think of dd's little face today I am crying. What am I like????

A child I work with couldn't speak but when she was 9 she was in the nativity as Mary and said 'baby Jesus' all the parents and all the staff were filling up.

Good luck to Blossomhills dd!

you must be so proud, let the tears flow with happiness and pride and make sure you show that recording off to everyone.

Moondog - that will be me!

To make it even more emotional dd is singing a really sad song. The play itself is about a bumble bee that cannot buzz! The bee is called Billy and teh song dd is singing is called "please Billy don't cry".
She is doing all the signs for it too.

Dd is infact a dragonfly in the play though.

Octavia - think of me then. i am going to have to wear a mask and dh is refusing to go as he knows he will cry. I know this is naughty but even tempted to take ds out of school for an hour to watch dd as he wants to see her.

that will be fab - you have to video it and definitely take ds out of school for it. I would be a blubbering mess. I had tears in my eyes when I saw dd1 be the first to sit nicely on the carpet for her kindy teacher. A number of the others were running around still. She just looked so gorgeous sitting with her legs crossed and hands in her lap.

The thing is though I am not sure how dd will be on actual day as it may just be too much for her. She does like acting and drama though so I am hoping she will realy enjoy it. I guess school wouldn't have chosen her if they thought she really couldn't deal with it,

I hope ds's school will be okay with it. Think it would be so nice for dd to see us all there. Problem is that both nans want to come now and you can only have 2 tickets per family so it's a real shame that they will miss it.
