Hi there everyone! I just came across this site tonite. Im marnies mum i noticed you all had a discussion on your forum when she appeared on ITV This Morning for playing her piano all by ear shes never even had a music lesson. Anyway i have started this new conversation to let you all know we are going through the battle of trying to get marnie out off mainstream school but the LEA dont want to fund her to go. Because the school is out of the area they would like to keep her in a school thats in our own area. But thats impossible as the schools cant meet her needs. SO im just wondering if any of you have been through this and have any advice i would be grateful. Also im very angry that the LEA dont support marnie with her music everything she has learned she done herself so if she ever gets to be a star they cant take any credit.

Thanks
Tanya

Hi Tanya, great to hear from you. I would try to get others involved in your battle. Do you know of a suitable school for Marnie that you could contact? Also try your MP and local paper, anyone that might give you some publicity.
Good luck.

Iv had some involvement with MP lately and they certainly can make people sit up and take notice. Its best if he actually sits in the houses...Newspapers tend to be in it for themselves in my opinion anyway but a good way of getting exposure.
