Carer's allowance question.

Hi there, I have a question about carer's allowance. I know I will probably have to ring them but it means tracking down the phone number and hanging on for ages. I keep putting it off so I thought I'd see if anyone on here knows.

I know that you are allowed to earn a certain amount (can't remember exact figure - around £80?)before you lose the allowance. How do they work it out though if it isn't a regular amount?

There's a possibility that I may be able to get occasional work (outwork to do at home)from the printer's at the end of my road as I have done print finishing before. I could get 2 lots one week and then nothing for a few weeks and each job pays different. Is it all going to become horribly complicated?

Hi,

You are allowed to earn £92.?? per week.

If you do not work that often, then the best thing is to tell them that you work as and when of which they will prob caculate earnings over the year so you probably wont lose anything.
