Well the 2 don't compare. Last year I cried out of anger, hurt, frustration, this year, out of joy and pride and happiness.
It was amazing.
Her SN's teacher walked her in with everyone else, she sat with the other kids rather than with the teachers. She was pointing out everyones mummy's to them! Nearly popped when she saw me, daddy her grandparents and godmum, turning round saying to everyone, "look, look, mummy, allo mummy" and so on.
If she didn't actually sing the words to all 20 or so songs she certainly mouthed them non-stop. Her head was bobbinbg around to each word, arm going, legs going, there wasn't one sign she didn't do, whereas some kids didn't do the little hand signs at all. They said "hello" in 5 different languages, sang carols and french songs, she was loving it. All the other mums kept coming over and squeezing my arm with tears in their eyes and saying "ohhh look at her, she's wonderful, you must be so happy" and so on.
When they were telling the story of the birth of Jesus, and Mary lay Jesus in the manger Lottie shoute over "Geddup Jesus, geddup"!!!!!!!! PMSL
Then at one point she looked over and said "mummy, crisps??????", in her 'I'm trying it on but you never know inquisitive voice!
Her French teacher came over to me at the end and said how much she adored Charlotte and how good she is at French!!!!
What a difference a year makes, just 365 little days!
I'm absolutely over the moon, feel.....amazing, so, so happy and pround, ohhhh you just can't imagine!
