it was the pre-school xmas show. all the other kids were singing along and really particpating, dd2 did sing some songs, but spent most of the timne with her head in her hands or looking at the ceiling.

she just went to spit at some teenage lads, they went 'aw she looks like she is wanting akiss' (dd2 had her lips pursed) but thats what she does when she is about to spit, plus there was spit just on her lips.

argh.

i feel relieved and not so andry now at some her 'quirks/bad behaviour'. i know that she doesnt like her hands being touched, so i hold her hood now, things just makes sense now.

Are you entirely sure about that misdee. i don't want to doubt you but DS did that pretty much and he is nearly 5, he sang some songs but spent a lot of time with his hand behind his head for some reason.

My ds asd was like an alien at that age, acting like everyone was invisible. The rest compliantely copied each other or knew what they were supposed to be doing. He's alot better now (5) if thats any comfort to you.

misdee and soblue, either of you could be describing my ds. He acts like an alien and has NEVER sang a song.
