Anyone know of a boarding school for a bright asd 16year old? Looking south/ midlands, he is a lovely boy but quite different and wouldn't cope in a totally mainstream school, he needs some classroom support to stay on task, but wants to and is quite capable of getting good maths and science A levels, and going on to further education. Have looked at Slindon but they don't do his A levels. Quaker schools not interested sadly, neither was shiplake
... And here's the rub, he doesn't much like other asd children so would refuse to go to a school that was set up primarily for other children like him. Good schools guide suggested Milton abbey, but fear he would be eaten alive. We have had painful experience of bullying ( understatement) and can't risk putting him through that again- he's too obviously quirky...
