Got statement but school of choice in different borough

Some advice please. My ds has been awarded a statement and our first choice school is in our neighbouring hung borough ( we live on the boundary ). Do we have the right to ask for him to attend our 1st chose school (they have experience of his condition) or do we have to choose a school in our borough?

Thanks in advance

Hi
You can choose any school for your ds it does not matter what borough as long as they can cater for your ds educational needs. If the LA say no to your request then you can appeal.

My ds has a statement and I am currently in the process of changing his school out of borough because his last special needs school were unable to cater for him.
