Book/website recommendations for dyslexia?

I'm new to this, as my DS1 (8) has just had a test at school which suggests he is dyslexic. I've had my suspicions for a while, but was told it was too early to get an effective reading.

Anyway, while we're waiting for second opinion, I'd really like to start getting to grips with it myself if anyone can recommend any useful reading. Just want to try and counter the disadvantages DH experienced as a dyslexic in the '70s (obviously teaching and understanding have changed significantly since then - well, hopefully anyway...)

Thanks.

The Dyslexic Advantage is really, really helpful. I think it's by Eide and Eide. Lots of stuff on different styles of dyslexic thinking and then lots of chapters of practical support and tips. American. I bought another British book recently, also helpful but it's not near the computer, I'll pass it on tomorrow. good luck!
