Getting the ergo on by yourself...

Just wondering if I'm missing something here, any experts? I've watched YouTube videos and I get the theory but in practice I can't reach the upper straps behind me when I'm wearing the carrier. Maybe I'm horrendously inflexible or haw very short arms or am I doing something wrong??!!

I really want to use this with dc2 as its so much more comfortable than our old baby Bjorn but I can't get it on without help!

Does this have a strap that clicks across your back? I have a tula which does this. I set it so it's really high on my shoulders and reach over. I've also see some people suggesting loosening the arm straps right off but fastening the back, then putting it on like a tshirt and tightening the arm straps again once baby is in, if that makes sense?

I used to do the back strap up, loosen the chest as far as it would go, put it on then sort of post DS in the top, adjust his legs etc then pull the two chest straps so it tightened up. Hope that makes sense!

Thank you both, I'll try both of those techniques out. It's so comfy to wear but if I follow the official instructions I just can't get it on!

I have this carrier; it's totally adjustable. Put the back strap to the top and you should be able to reach it! Good luck!

We had the same problem and it put us off wearing it - do up but loosen the arm straps, do up the back strap, then put it on, put in baby and tighten arm straps. Very very easy and saves you having to do the back strap which we found impossible!

Have you moved the back strap up as far as it will go? Its quite stiff to get it all the way to the top but makes it easier to reach.

I tie it first, loosen the shoulders and pop her in. DD is 2 now and I still do it that way.
