Which stretchy sling?

So I think I've figured out that I want a stretchy sling for my new baby (due in July), rather than a woven one, but which one should I get? Is a Moby the best? Will it be too hot for the baby? Is there anything cheaper thats just as good?

Thanks for your advice. I feel like my head is going to explode with so many decisions to make at the moment.

Moby will be hotter than most in July/August. Karime is a bit thinner as is VSL. I'd prob get a VSL (thinner, much cheaper) one and move on to a woven/mei tai/SSC after the first 4-6mths, but a Moby if you want it to be your only sling ever (it still won't be fantastically supportive after 6mths or so).

That said, I used a Moby through last summer and we were fine, but it's a personal comfort thing. Also last summer was rubbish!

The Hana Baby Wrap is lovely - thin but supportive. Much nicer than a Moby, especially in summer. It's stretchier too, which makes it easier to get baby in and out. Boba Wrap is also good but not quite as lightweight as the Hana.

Moby too heavy for my liking.
Kali slings (search on Facebook) are 25 quid and come in lots of cool colours etc.
I agree stretchies are nb only really. I went from a stretchy to an RS then an ergo and now I'm sold Grin

I have a VSL and a moby. Complete opposites but like then for different reasons. VSL is thinner but with that its still a cheap nasty version of a moby. It helps in summer I will say that but the quality difference is noticeable (how fast it fades and poor stitching compared to the moby).

Is the Boba Wrap (formerly Sleepy Wrap) any good?

I have a boba wrap and loved it! He was so cosy and comfy and it was comfy to wear. (i actually am selling mine on if ur interested). Once you get the hang of the tie it is simple and fits anyone (my hubby used to carry him all the time) :)
