BFing in a stretchy wrap

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice when I was pg, and special thanks to the kind MNetter who gave me a Moby wrap - it's already proving very useful.

However, DS2 is BF and only 5wo so still feeding quite frequently. I had the impression it's better not to try feeding a baby while wearing them until they're a bit bigger/older, which is fine. However, while I can 'pop' DS2 out easily enough, I can't work out how to BF him without taking the whole wrap off (or at least moving it around enough that it then needs re-tying), which means rather than wearing it and popping him in and out multiple times a day, I end up putting it on only when I have a specific reason to - so I'm using it less than I would if I could figure this out.

I don't know if the issue is that I don't wear special nursing tops? I could always get one or two to try out if that would make it easier. Or could it just be I'm not tying it quite right? Are other people able to BF while wearing a stretchy wraps, and do you have any tips or tricks? Thanks.

Wear a top you can pull down to feed rather than need to pull up? Makes it a lot easier.

I can't bf while ds is in the wrap but have managed while the wrap is on me iyswim

I wear a feeding bra and regular vest top, then the wrap, then one of dp's shirts or a cardigan. Shirt goes outwards, shoulder of wrap gets hoiked inwards, vest and bra cup go down.

Mind you, he's only 10 days old so i haven't really got the hang of discreet yet...

I second tops you pull down. Although I think that works better if you are well-endowed. I bought a few feeding tops, and I use them all the time for feeding in my Maduca (never did get the hang of feeding in the stretchy wrap).

Thanks all, sorry for not coming back before. That makes perfect sense. Will try wearing something I can feed in by pulling down. If it doesn't work, or if I can't work out how to do discreetly, then I might give a feeding top a go as well.
