Can't get DS (11weeks) comfy in Moby wrap or ring sling

He was fine until this week, but now I can't get him into the right position in either. He just pushes his legs straight down so he's in a standing sort of position, rather than a tucked up, knees higher than hips position. I carried DD in both these slings, so I thought I knew what I was doing. I'm trying to achieve newborn hug holds, as he doesn't like being cradled. I tried legs out in the Moby today, but he wasn't sitting - he was just in a straight position pressed against me.

Any ideas? It's been the only way to get any daytime sleep and he hates the pram and car seat! Thanks.

Definitely keep trying legs-out in moby, I think.

I'd probably try putting him in just the cross bit (ie not bringing up the tag section) for a while, bounce about a bit, give him time to relax and tweak the material until he's well supported in a sitting position. How is he being held when not in a sling?

It'll be some weird phase that passes within a week! But I think he's prob outgrown newborn hold if he's doing that.

Thanks. I don't think I've been doing it tight enough either. Also seems to be too high up, head at my face height really. I'll look again at some videos about how to do it.

As previous poster said, definitely try legs out in the Moby. To get his legs into the right position, gently lift his knees and they will naturally move to the sides. Make sure you pull the fabric of each cross all the way from one knee to the other and right across his back and that will put him into sitting position.
