Hi, should I get a Bbjorn Active? I want to carry the baby but am confused between these and the wrap sling types but know nothing about these at all. are these good for baby posture or are they not in them enough to worry. I want the baby comfy but also be able to do my things too. Any comments?

No,Ive had both types and the wrap slings are so much better. I use a kari- Me which I think is almost the same as a Moby wrap.
I found the Baby- Bjorn ok, but the weight pulled my shoulders after a while. The bonus of a wrap sling is that you can put baby in many different positions.
It also feels more secure to me than the carry types. :)

I've got the normal baby bjorn classic which is good if you're out and about and don't want to have to take the buggy (like DD2's hospital appointment today) but it's no good if you're trying to do jobs around the house as it's too bulky. From a quick look on the web the active one doesn't seem too different from the classic. I suspect others will be along soon with other opinions. Do you have a friend who has one you could borrow to try out for a day or so?

Personally I wouldn't get a BabyBjorn.

How big is your baby?

If wraps look too daunting for you then maybe a Close Carrier but if s/he is over 6 months or so then maybe a mei tai would be better. I have a Maya Tie which is really comfy as it has very wide straps lie a wrap does so spreads the weight very well, plus can be used on your back when baby gets bigger.

I use both a wrap and baby bjorn active with my 2 - wrap from a couple of weeks baby bjorn from 5/6 weeks. I never found any issues with posture etc and they are both fine now - I think it is maybe only an issue if your baby has clicky hips or something. TBH, my DP preferred the BB and I preferred the wrap but both got used a lot.

I found the Baby Bjorn was just about okay for carrying a small baby for short lengths of time, but useless for long walks or for older babies (ds1 grew out of it at about 6 months). For ds2 I had a Kozy Carrier which I loved, and ds2 loved too, and my dniece when I passed it on to my sister. But it depends what your criteria are. This used to be good website to investigate baby carriers: thebabywearer.com (although I can't get it to load on my laptop at the moment to check if it's still good).

Just to give a bit of a balanced view, I LOVED our moby sling but DD LOATHED it! She has always been far far happier in the baby bjorn. So I think it might depend on your baby, maybe worth borrowing one of each to try?
