Hi, I've posted a couple of times on the diet chat on mums net, but this time I'm back and my head is in the right place.

I'm going to join Slimming World this current week. My group is on a Wednesday, but I'm going to start today. Is anyone else new to Slimming World?

Current weight is 180lb so planning to drop around 50lb Grin

Hello,

I'm planning on returning to the fold. Started SW in January for a while online and lost a stone but have fallen off the wagon. Just not sure whether this time round to go to group or join online again. I would like to lose 3 and a half stone.

I found group really motivating so def going with group. As simple as it sounds, getting those half stone, stone, stone and a half, two stone ect stickers is very motivating for me... and some good ideas come up in group sometimes.

I have a Saturday group, rejoined yesterday. Feeling motivated it is a lovely group, so much support. And I grabbed the magazine on impulse, really glad I did as it is the kind of food DH likes. I realise having him on side is key.

Hey Thebeach! Congrats for rejoining, I'm excited to rejoin Wednesday!
I've set some ground rules for myself this time, things that I felt let me down last time. First of all, I know it's obvious, but no takeaways haha.... also, not going to keep chocolate syns stashed at home. If I want to use my syns on chocolate I have to take DS and walk to the shops (15/20 mins walk)

Hello all,

Well took the plunge and joined a local group tonight. Consultant and others were very welcoming. Have come home with a pack containing the food optimising book and body magic. Will be my bed time reading tonight as I need to refresh my memory.

Food wise today I missed breakfast - not something I usually do but had a long lie in. Lunch was smoked salmon, granary bread and salad then fruit. Dinner was SW chilli con carne, rice, salad then strawberries and LF yoghurt.

Good luck everyone and have a great week.

Brilliant. Well done. Ill get to group tonight. Remember the more you drink the more you shrink. Keep downing water or sugar free squash. I carry the little squashed bottles with me so i can add it to bottled water when i am out.

Im quite excited now Grin. Im cross ive regained a stone but its a journey of course and i have to think that ive lost 3 and kept that off. By christmas I will be where i want to be .

Keep going today ladies. Going backwards is not an option.

Now off for breakfast . Fruit yoghurtand 40g of bran crunchies ( hex b ).

Have a good day.

Hi everyone, I've rejoined 6/7 weeks ago and have lost 1st 10 so far! Would love go join this chat as I think it would motivate me too. What I'm changing from last time is to keep going to class, even when my losses slow, to stick to the plan and not cheat myself (was always 'hoping for the best!' when getting on the scales, and failing. I haven't had that this time as I'm 100% on plan...
B lidl yogurt and some fruit, L is homage carrot soup, and D is Tuna steaks with veg and fried tinned potatoes... Have a lovely day everyone Smile

Hey ladies, I had a terrible day yesterday... DP's sister spontaneously invited us around and got us all take out. Oh well, I suppose if I was long term on plan this would be a "flexi syns" day...

On plan today and just about to do a big week shop... will keep you posted as to how today goes

How is everyone today?

11 hour day in London and that's hard for staying on plan I always find. just about to go to group.

so far Ive eaten

B fruit salad yoghurt and hex b 35g of grapenuts

L m and s salad with dressing ( 3 syns ) turkey and melon orange and banana

Skiingnomore I struggle when out for the day so just over isn't too bad at all. Will fruit be enough for dinner. It wouldn't for me and there is loads of free food you could have that wouldn't increase the syns for the day but I get everyone is different.

Crunchymummy what curry recipe do you use I love curry but my SW curries don't seem to work out well

Today B 1 wetabix 1/2HEB and raspberries with milk 1/2HEA.
L prawn salad with lighter than light mayo (1/2 syn)
D Cajun turkey mince 2 syns as not 5% mince and rice, peppers and onions

Snacks muller light 1/2 syn 2x hifi bars one 1/2HEB one 3 syns, Apple, banana, grapes. Lucozade zero pink lemonade ( I love this at the moment ).

Milk in coffee 1/2 HEA (maybe a bit over but have enough syns left if I used too much)

Total syns around 6 1/2

Day 2 on plan Grin feeling good

so i joined a new group and it was taster night so I had a few nibbles there some of which were syned so not as good after all but hey ho.

So I have gained 13.5llbs from my last weigh in on 10th feb. all in all could be worse. Set my target at 10 stone which is just about right for my height of 5ft 4.5 inches and my age which is not young and frankly I know I can maintain. Any lower and i will just fall off the wagon again I know.

So home now and planning food for tomorrow.

Good luck everyone !

Hello all.

I've joined again. This time as an online member because I can't get to local groups.

I'm 5'2" and nearly tipping 12 stone. I'm disgusted with myself!

So far, so good. I feel like I'm eating all day and having more food than I normally would.

I just need to stick with it this time and not give up after a couple of weeks. It's strange how you can so desperately want to lose weight but can never stump up the willpower to follow it though!

Good luck to you all!

Well done to everyone staying on plan.

I've had an awful day today food wise :(went to the beach and took a picnic. Had far too many Syns - couldn't even begin to work it out. Need to get back on track tomorrow and also get some exercise in as Sunday also has the potential to go to pot! Don't want to wish the summer holidays away but sticking to plan will be easier for me come September!

Hey Ladies, hope you don't mind me joining. I'm hoping to drop pregnant soon with baby no 2! And would like to do slimming world. Anyone else done this? I gained 3 1/2 stone with my 1st so don't want to do that again haha. Thanks ladies

I started following slimming world, not joined a local group though. I'm on day 4 and feeling quite positive. I only have a stone to lose now and I'm finding that hard to lose (I was trying to stick to 1600 calories a day and was always starving!)

Breakfasts so far have been 35g porridge (hb) made with water.

Morning snack is fruit

Lunch is tuna or boiled egg salad

Afternoon snack usually fruit and 0% fat yogurt

Dinners, so far tried sw spag bol, sw easy chicken curry also have had baked potatoes with beans.

I use milk as healthy a in tea and coffee throughout the day.

I haven't had many syns yet as I want to work out how many are in things I like. One day I had a large glass of wine and another I had a calipo ice lolly.
