Why isn't it working?!

Hi
Am on my fourth week with sw. 1st week I lost 2 1/2, 2nd week -2, 3rd week sts, 4th week -0.5.
Really getting cheesed off. I'm sticking to plan, I'm breastfeeding my 9 weeks old so allowed 6 healthy extras although only having 4. I'm having the 15 syns as told. I've got about 4 stones to lose, at this rate I'm going to die of natural causes before I get to target 😂 What's going wrong?

Could you post a typical days food so we can advise?

A few possibilities:

Are you weighing your healthy extras?
Are you sure that what you are eating is a healthy extra?
Are you weighing/properly counting your Syns?
Are you having lots of carbs? While rice, pasta and potatoes are allowed on the plan I found my losses slowed down if I had them at each meal, restricting them to one meal a day helped me.
Are you making sure you have one third speed food with each meal?
Are you watching your portion sizes?

Hopefully that gives you some ideas.

Just to add though, you're still losing and a lb a week is a healthy rate of loss! Don't be disheartened because others lose larger amounts, everyone loses at different rates.

It is working though. You aren't gaining weight and have lost on 3 out of 4 weeks. I've almost lost 4 stones now (taken me 15 months) and I've done it really slowly. I think I had one week where I lost 2 lbs but the rest of the time it's been 0.5-1lb a week. Just keep doing what your doing at the moment and see how you get on. Chessie has some good things to think about though.

5lb in 4 weeks is good progress. Slow and steady is how it works for a lot of people, how it needs to be to be sustainable.

I don't think I have ever lost more than 3lb in a week yet I am still 6.5 stone lighter than I was!

Are you exercising on top of SW? Strange as it may seem you can 'gain' as your body gets used to the new regime.
We're you on your period ('star week' as they coyly called it at my old group!) when you stayed the same? I never lost when I was due on.

Sometimes there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I've been going for 6 weeks. First three weeks I got three good losses then two weeks at a poxy half pound each. This week four and a half!
I 'm finding it difficult to work out why but take heart from the fact it's a loss and not going in the wrong direction.

Sneeze, it IS working!
You are doing really well.
Don't know how much you want to lose, but a pound a week would be 52 pounds after a year( 3st 10lbs).
The SW plan is not a crank diet: your loss is steady and sustainable.
