2nd weigh in - stayed the same

Morning,
I had 2nd weigh in last night and I've stayed the same which I'm a bit [hmmm] about.

Lost 3.5lb last week, have stuck to plan and no change

Have been averaging about 6 Syns a day, totally synning everything thanks to the app so confused. No always managing Hex A, but having Hex B in morning.

Consultant looked at food diary and suggested more speed food, but I'm veggie and have been stuffing face with salad and veg, does anyone have any ideas or had the same?

One of the weigh in ladies thought it might be my body adjusting and that I should have a good loss next week?
Help please!

Hi Geepee71,
I also had my second weigh in yesterday and gained half a lb! I was out for food and a lot of drink at the weekend, but was very much on plan the rest of the time and have little or no syns so had hoped to at least stay the same. In my case, I am finding the change to higher protein and higher fibre intake is playing havoc with my digestive system. I've been struggling to go to the loo and feel very bloated - could this be a factor for you? My consultant advised increasing my water intake, which I know I definitely need to do. She also suggested eating a couple of kiwis with the skin on Hmm

I am also going to try something other than porridge as my HEXB as I think it doesn't do me any favours - nor does it particularly fill me. I had scrambled egg on toast this morning and felt really full until lunch.

Have you checked that the fruit and veg you are eating are actually speed? My favourites (blueberries, bananas and kiwis - without skin Grin) are not speed! Apples give me bellyache and oranges are not particularly nice at the moment I find, so I do struggle to find speed fruits that aren't massively expensive.

Don't know if any of this helps but hopefully you will have some more success next week.

Could it be related to your monthly cycle? I often gain before/during my period.

Weight always goes up and down for a variety of reasons - menstrual cycles, water retention, etc.

My consultant says you should always look at weight loss within the '4 week window' - IE look back over the past 4 weeks (hard to do early on, I know!) and are you happy with it? Would you have been happy with that weekly average every week?

If yes, keep going because you're doing great and it's not unusual to be a bit up and down.

If not, then start looking for causes and solving them. There's a million ways to do that but worry about that if/when it comes to it and in the meanwhile enjoy the fact you haven't gained and that you've lost 3.5lbs!!

I like your way of looking at it MrsMushrooms! Much more positive than my way of agonising over it!

Thanks nomore, I'm going to mix up my breakfasts and also ensure more speed foods are added, I've been having raspberries, grapes and pineapple (frozen chunks from Aldi, perfect for overnight breakfast dishes) and will have more broccoli and carrots his week. I've had loads of onions, mushrooms, lettuce, peppers, tomato etc.
And driking loads of water. Hmmmm I know it works, just have to get the balance right!
Good luck with your, least you had a fun weekend Grin

Thanks MrsMushrooms too, I'm not going to give up, just reassess what I'm having and see how it goes! I'm signed up for 12 weeks and determined to make it work.
Like the idea of the 4 week window, so will focus on that cheers

Grapes and pineapple aren't a speed food though, so perhaps add something else.

Aha thanks Lemony, I'm going to recheck speed foods, had lots of salad already, but have now added carrot and broccoli to my meals (veg will change according to meal) so hopefully keeping this up will make a difference!
