Slimming World

How much do you or should you exercise?

I joined slimming world online a few days ago, as there are no groups near me. I haven't seen much about exercise anywhere. I am going to cycle to work, which is about 20 minutes each way, so I will be getting some exercise, and I know that of course exercise is good for you and will speed up weight loss. My question is, do you have to exercise for SW to work or will it work anyway?

You don't have to. But it's encouraged. I am quite active anyway, but do 4/5 one hour work it's a week.

Look for 'body magic' on the website. That's what they call it.

Good luck Thanks

No, you don't have to. Last time I did SW (in 2010 - 2011) I lost 5 stone, without doing any exercise at all, due to disability.

I kept 4 of it off for 3 years, then another 1 1/2 crept on again.

I have now upped my activity levels (not exercise per se, but I am moving more - thanks to some fab physio and new boots which hold my ankles where they're meant to be!) and am back on SW and nearly back to my lowest weight.

Thanks everyone! I am going to try to move more but it's good to know that the diet works on its own.
