New to the board but sw member since sept. I've just recently given up bf and waiting for af to arrive. I know it's on the way I'm v swollen and bloated, and have spotting since sat. WI tonight and had a sneaky step on home scales and at least 2lb up from yesterday. It's very hard to go on sticking to plan when all I'm doing isn't working, tonight will be my 3rd gain in as many weeks

I have gained as much as 6lb around my period. Over the course of about 10 days. But usually as soon as AF arrives, it's starts declining. With in a week it's back to normal plus whatever fat I have lost.

I am actually now back on the pill as I have pcos and its reduces this significantly.

I don't have any advice really apart from stick at it and the loss will show when AF arrives. But that's easier said than done.

I also gain around the time of my period, but it comes off again the next week. It's normally water retention that causes it. Just keep going with it. If you've got a bit stuck (I have), go back to basics and write everything down. I know I'm eating too many syns because I've stopped counting them, so I haven't really lost anything for the last 2 months! I'm luckily not gaining though, but not really in the right frame of mind at the moment to stick to it 100%.
