Changing groups permanently - can I do this?

Was a SW member back last year but couldn't afford it so stopped it. Now have a new job and moved work days so can't go back to old group.

Went to a new very local group this morning and paid for 12 sessions - also had to join again . It was awful. So bad. Just no advice, no hello, the group leader spent the time saying how nobody could follow it 100% and so aim for 70%, that two days of wine in the evening wouldn't hurt and that lucrative could more than diet ever would.

Honestly. So bad.

So I don't want to go back! I've found another group a few miles away I can go too but rather than have this leader ring every week to find out where I am (like our old leader did) i want to change group and not go back.

I don't see any reason why you can't do that. If you had moved house for example you would go somewhere else. Give the new group a try and let the consultant there know about your bad experience. There may be a training issue with the other leader.

I think you can transfer, but maybe ask the new group's leader just to be sure.

The lady who runs mine is fantastic (sorry to brag Wink ) and I think it'll be her and her personality which will make me meet my target as much as my own willpower to be honest so it's so important to find the right group.

I've been online and found there are about four other groups I can drive too (i liked that I could walk to this one) so I'm going to give them all a go and choose my favourite then ask to transfer.

Still feel like I wasted my first week of the 12 weeks i bought!
