Before I kill myself with that number I have decided to do something about it.

I shopped today. Tomorrow will involve porridge, a metric fuckton of apples and a cottage pie for dinner.

Weigh day is Friday. Onwards eh?

It's all downhill now ... The hardest part is making the first step :-)

Yes. One lb at a time.

Good luck, but please be aware that porridge, shit loads of apples and cottage pie might not be the best way of going about it.

What about exercise?

I can't eat much bread, as it gives me horrific gut pain - so I'm using porridge as my sub, with some of my milk allowance as my breakfast.

The cottage pie meets all SW rules on meat, veg and inclusion of restricted substances.

I said apples as they're what I have in, though there may be some carrot theft as well.

I've done this before, I know how to cook to plan. I might not be evangelical and I might not eat as much of the extra crap that's pushed, but I do what I can with the limitations I have and I never deviate from plan.

But hey, knock someone before they start eh SillyBub? Your assumptions were unwarranted and unwelcome.

I'm not going to bother coming back to this section, I'll make do with the rousing encouragement of the cats.

Procrastinator.....come to the long running thread where we all post our meal plans and have great support......

You can do it!

Procrastinator, have you tried LowCarb (not no carb) eating? There's a lot of support here and usually a thread running. Just thought you sound thoroughly demoralised and at least with LC you get to eat some yummy food (pork belly, cheese, etc.,) and lose weight. Yes, it is restrictive in its own way but what weight loss plan isn't?

I'm far too heavy as well. I have done every diet known to mankind but always manage to put it all back

I did low carb (on the bootcamp on here) and found it the easiest diet I've ever done and although I have put some weight back I've kept a stone or two off and it has changed the way I eat for the better (I rarely eat bread now either). I have just gone through my old SW books, from the days of red and green, and checked up on the red days so I can try something like that on my own but using syns for healthier things than the processed stuff I ate when on SW before

Don't be put off, the comment upthread was probably meant to be helpful and just came across wrong. Good luck

Yesss! You are on your way! Keep your focus, you CAN DO THIS! Xx

Sillybub has a point. If I had porridge, apples and cottage pie I'd put on weight. Some of us are just like that. It's not personal.

Porridge, cottage pie and apples are all well within the SW plan if done correctly and are just the sorts of things I've been eating to lose 2st 1lb since the end of June (which included a break in the summer for an all inclusive holiday where I gained 7.5lb... All off again now and losing again).

Wishing you all the luck in the world! Xx

Good luck! I joined 30th may and have lost 2 stone 61/2 pounds so far. My only comment snoot porridge apples and cottage pie is that it's not a lot to eat, I'm eating so much more than I ever did which makes me not hungry or deprived. Best of luck !

Yes why would people come into sw forum and then go on about low carb?!! No need.

Just make sure you get plenty of speed food on your plate so you fill up on this. I eat all my veggies and stuff first then try and eat the rest slowly. I have a problem of eating too fast and no knowing when I'm full.

6.5 off, which isn't bad considering it's been a flipping 'orrible week.

Thanks. My eldest and I have just meal planned the weekend and it's not looking too shabby. She's not dieting, but she has two friends who are what if describe as at risk of developing eating disorders so I find involving her in our meal planning is my biggest weapon in helping her avoid going down that route too.
