Do you stay on plan on holiday?

I have almost lost 3st and I am on holiday next week.

I will be drinking - I haven't drunk since I started SW so will be over my syns most days.

I am worried about destroying my progress so far.

What do you do on holiday? Blow out, stay on plan or something in between?

Something in between. Try to eat sensibly (ie make sensible choices, not chips for every meal) with lots of speedy foods/salads but don't restrict myself when it comes to alcohol or puddings.

I would always have a big glass of something soft/water before I started drinking properly though, just so the first one didn't go down without touching the sides through thirst.

I try not to have beers etc round the pool. Did quite well this year & only gained 4lb in 10 days away & 3 weeks from group.

I did something in between when we were away. We were camping for a week in Amsterdam, so we ate out at lunch (tried to make sensible choices but did have chicken satay a few times) and then cooked dinner ourselves. We didn't stick to plan for our dinners as we were restricted by what we could buy in the supermarket, but we were sensible. I did have a few ice creams. We were doing a lot of walking during the week, so I actually managed to STS over 2 weeks (I missed a weigh in).

I just have whatever and accept that it'll add a couple of weeks or so on to getting to target.

I mean I wouldn't go, way hay I'm on holiday, I'm going to stuff everything in I can find because it doesn't count...but I don't particularly try to stay on plan either.

I always stick to plan as much as possible purely because I don't trust myself if I have a week off I think I will find it hard to then give things up again . Also I'm on a tight deadline for my weight loss in order to get Ivf so I don't want to delay it

I'm currently in France staying with in laws, all meals / food provided by MIL. I haven't mentioned SW as don't want make special demands when she's catering for our family of 4 and her and FIL everyday, so am just trying to do damage limitation wherever I can. We brought a cool bag with some English food MIL requested so I chucked in a pot of FF yog which I've been having for bf with fruit and I've passed on baguette and butter at lunch and just had salad. I've been having a couple of glasses of wine (1st booze since rejoining SW 8 weeks ago) each evening but am hopeful I won't do too much damage in the 2 weeks we're away (1 week in France and then another visiting friends which may be decidedly more wine intense!)

I've been away in asia for 4 weeks and found it difficult to stick to the diet.Hotel breakfasts were relatively ok as i generally stuck to eggs and fruit and salad. However buffet dinners were more difficult especially in Malaysia where all food seems to be very oily.I'm hoping the fact i had galloping gut-rot about 3 times will ameliorate the unhealthy diet. Will find out tomorrow when i weigh in.
