Using syns seems to speed up loss

I have lost 2 stone on SW over four months, I am not seeking it as a diet, more a healthier way of eating. Weight loss quite slow, usually about 1 or two pounds a week, sometimes staying the same.

The past two weeks I have started having some or all of my syns every day, pink and whites, snack size choc bars, maybe a couple of biscuits.

Since I have been doing that (2 weeks) I lost 3 the first week and 4 this week. Can anyone explain this -
Does using your syns enhance the weight loss? It all seems very strange (not that I am complaining!)

If you don't have any Syns then you will be having very little fat etc. your body needs a certain amount of fat etc to function. Without it your body goes into starvation mode to hang on to what it has! When eating a bit of fat etc your body works more effectively.

I don't think that's true Chessie. Plenty of free food has fat in it (5% mince, eggs for example). You could also have nuts as your HEB, or cheese as your HEA so could easily be getting some fat.

Syns don't necessarily have fat either - you could use all your syns on sugar or haribos - not fat at all.

Bodies are weird things, and I think just shaking up your routine sometimes can give a good loss! Syns are part of the plan though, and they're there to be eaten - I think they're probably there mainly to stop us falling off the wagon.

PS. a loss of 1-2lb a week is perfect and not slow at all, imo!
