Green days?

I can't find an answer to this on the website: can you still do green or red days with SW? I've emailed them my query, but it can take 7 days for them to respond Sad

Really want and need to lose weight and want to do it online rather than at a group because of time available and I just got hacked off with going to the group. I've done SW twice in the past - first time I lost weight and was really healthy and fit, second time I just didn't get on with Extra Easy as it was called and only lost weight when I did green days.

They don't do green/red days any more. It is all extra easy now.

And you can do SP days which are basically Speed and Protein and no carb. Sadly the two A's and B's with Green are gone :/

I was still doing green until last autumn.
Not sure if the group still allows it so to speak. There has been a huge turn away from original and green.

Like you in the past I have lost lots of weight very quickly following these plans and my weightloss on the current plans seems very slow.

My thoughts are this. If you know you can religiously stick to the old green plan using non branded foods (as recipes change) and it works for you then carry on.

I still do green days even though they are no longer part of the plan. I am still getting good losses and I find Green days hell of a lot cheaper than any other plan too.

  • what I meant was I am not at class at the moment but doing green at home(and some original).

It was last autumn I was still doing green in class - although I get the impression my consultant wasnt over the moon about it especially when I had good losses and chatted about green days and the new members were asking what green was!

They are not officially on the plan any longer as they are promoting extra easy instead. However, they are proven to work therefore if it works for you(which it does me) then you can follow it if you wish.

I also like to follow the green plan. At the beginning of last year I went to slimming world got their books and followed it for a while. Because I used the green book I've mislaid it, but managed to get in on eBay last week. Yes it cost me but it's the only way to get a copy now, so it's worth considering getting a 2014 pack from there. They are fairly expensive though because I think the vegetarians amongst us are keen to get their hands on them I still have the 2014 syns and shopping guide, but I imagine that the 2015 version no longer has the red and green syns listed.

Thanks all. I got a reply via messenger telling me that green days are not supported on the website, but you can still find green day recipes on there.

I think green worked for me because I ate sensibly - something about extra easy just never really clicked with me somehow. I do most cooking from scratch and love pasta, couscous, etc so I'm just going to do it at home myself. I'm pretty motivated - big event next year and a couple of shorter term goals too. Frylight was on offer in Morrisons last night too Smile
