returning to SW.. need tips on family friendly meals

Hi everyone,

I am returning to SW after 3 years. Lost about 2.5 stone before and bmi was at higher end of healthy range before getting pregnant.

My DD is 2 years old now and have returned to roughly weight i was when I started. Anyways to cut a long story short, my DH was diagnosed with testicular cancer when DD was 6 weeks old. He had chemotherapy and all clear now, but the chemo left him sterile and we are now heading down IVF route (he froze some sperm before starting chemo). Anyway I am determined to get healthier and would like to lose a couple of stone (at least one before intial appointment with consultant).

My only concern is planning meals with our DD.. she has just turned 2 and I and don't want her to miss out nutritionally- her breakfasts and lunch are fine its just evening meals, where she mostly eats what we eat now. I just don't want to end up cooking separate meals. I generally cook dinners on the day.

We have switched to semi-skimmed milk now for her but I don't know if she still needs full fat cheese, yogurt etc. She currently weighs about 24 pounds.

Any advice gratefully recieved

I've done SW twice to lose baby weight with older children to feed. SW meals are pretty family friendly, I'd just give her extra if you are e.g. Grating cheese on top, and give her a full fat pudding.

I have recently joined and have a 2 and 3.5 year old dc who generally eat the same as us. I'm finding it really family friendly. So far we've eaten;
Cottage pie
Spaghetti bolognese
Chilli con carne
Beef and chicken stews (slow cooker)
Pasta
Roast dinners
Chicken fried rice
Stir fry
Jacket potatoes

Good luck with it. I find it easier when I am really organised so have been planning meals, online shopping and batch cooking. I hope the IVF goes well.
