Slimming World

thinking of joining

Hi I'm just looking for some honest opinions about how well Slimming World works? I've always been overweight but after having my daughter 3 months ago I'm now the biggest I've ever been. DD can be very demanding and hard work while DH is at work so need meals that are easy to prepare and make. Also I know it's not the most expensive thing in the world but don't want to waste money going to the classes if it's not easy to follow or unrealistic?

Morning! I've been doing slimming world for 3weeks & am finding it pretty easy (so far!). My DD is 6months so I get what you mean about having limited time. I think you can make it as easy or difficult as you like - you could just eat chicken & veg each night or make a fancy curry. It's your choice.
I've been cooking enough for 4, them freezing 2portions so I've got loads of slimming world 'ready meals' for days when times short/can't be bothered.
DD is weaning at the moment (doing BLW) & as it's all just healthy food, she's eating exactly the same as me which makes life easier & saves time. Good luck.
If you do join there's a little thread a few of us who have just started are encouraging each other on, called just joined & need a buddy - come & join us.

I've lost 3 stone 2lb since October - I don't find it complicated or unrealistic at all.

Meals are only as hard as you make them, you will struggle if you want to rely in convenience foods a lot, but if you actually cook anyway it's not hard at all. Easy things like pasta, omelette and baked potatoes are all fine, soups are handy (just bung everything in a pan). I don't eat meat, but lean meat potatoes and veg is on plan and straightforward.

I'm having chilli tonight - last time I made it I just made double and froze it, with potato wedges and salad...so all I need to do is heat up the chilli, cut some potatoes and bung them in the oven and add some salad to plates.
