Should I get an Actifry?

So I am a new SW member and have been making syn free chips in the oven which taste nice. However it's a fairly laborious process and have come across the Actifry on some other boards.

Do you ladies use one? If so, what else do you use it for as at a £100 a pop it seems pretty expensive for just chips.

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks x

We were talking about this at my sw group last week. They make lovely chips with a teaspoon of oil (which you'll need to syn), but they take 45 minutes, and you can't cook enough for a large family, so if you're cooking for a few people it's a bit impractical as they delay between batches is too long.

If there are just 2 of you, my group recommended them.

Tbh at £100 and 45 minutes i'm going to stick with sw chips! My group leader doesn't parboil her chips, which makes them a bit less labour intensive as well.

Haha i did wonder! I'm only going on what some of the group members said. One lady had a dh and 3 dcs and said she couldn't feed them all in one go, but perhaps they're particularly greedy Grin
