I got one at Xmas for my dh. The chips are lovely, not quite chip shop but 100x better than oven ones! My only gripe is it takes about 30-40mins to cook them, however, I just peel the potatoes and pop it on first before I cook the rest of the meal. It came with a receive book for stirfries, risottos and lots of other dishes. Amazon had them on sale for about £70.
We were talking about this at my sw group last week. They make lovely chips with a teaspoon of oil (which you'll need to syn), but they take 45 minutes, and you can't cook enough for a large family, so if you're cooking for a few people it's a bit impractical as they delay between batches is too long.
If there are just 2 of you, my group recommended them.
Tbh at £100 and 45 minutes i'm going to stick with sw chips! My group leader doesn't parboil her chips, which makes them a bit less labour intensive as well.
