Fruit, fruit, fruit

I eat fruit pretty much aaaaaaall day long. I'm a non-stop slacker but have restricted myself to fruit. I'm not losing that much, despite it being super free. Can you eat too much super-free?

Course you can! And that's what is so strange about slimming world.... Eat enough of anything and you will stay as you are

And fruit isn't that great for weight loss

But surely you would have to be eating A LOT of fruit?

My leader told us to snack on fruit, and how about things like strawberries which are meant to be a speed food? Very confusing but could account for my slow weight loss too?

Be interesting to know what other more experienced members think...

I find putting a small amount of protein with some fruit really helps with restricting snacking. So a slice of ham with some apple, grapes and carrot for mid morning then a cheese triangle with some cucumber in the afternoon. Not superfree and sometimes need to use a few syns but worth it for a good loss.

What Glennthebattleostritch said. I used to have a bowl of cashews (20 cashews is a HE A or B, I can't remember which) and grapes. The back and forward motion of eating that lot wad very satisfying.

I always wondered about the fruit. I don't think I'll lose as I just seem to eat even more these days!!

Apparently some fruits are lower cal than others - I think strawberries are good, satsumas are worse - apples in between.

As someone else said, try more protein rich foods, drink a glass of water and also find other things to do other than snack- knitting, writing, anything distracting. If you eat pretty often you will never really feel hungry.

If you really want a snack, sit down and take your time over it.

I think a flaw in SW is its not teaching you about recognising real hunger. See if you can get a hold of Paul McKenna gastric hypnosis book and cd. Not suggesting you stop SW, but doing Paul's techniques alongside it might be good.
