Where does your baby sleep?

Hi all, my 4 month old ds2 currently sleeps in a crib next to our bed at night and a pram in the lounge in the day as to be nearer by.(following SIDS guidelines).

However at night we have started to disturb him if we move around during his lighter sleep resulting in full on night wakings.

It is getting increasingly harder during day naps too as DS1 is only 22months and wakes him.

This is leaving our usually happy baby grumpy and irritable due to lack of sleep.

We are cosidering moving him into the nursey for all sleep with a movemet sensor monitor.
We are aware that it isnt reccomended until 6months though.

Where does your baby sleep and what age are
they?

Sorry its long and thanks in advance.

I moved DS1 into his cot at about 12/13 weeks as he outgrew his moses basket and we couldn't fit a cot into our bedroom.

We have never had a sensor mat/monitor but our bed is the other side of the wall to his cot and the doors are next to each of them so I felt confident doing this.

He is now 17 months old and we have had to move the cot as we have woken him up with some - adult activities - actually that was a while ago as I am now 26 weeks with DC 2. We shall prob do the same when DC2 arrives as still cannot fit anything bigger than a basket in our bedroom and do not really want to co sleep

Mostly on me after feeding or in the pushchair when we were out and about.

Didn't really spend much time at home during ML as DS was a June baby so spent the first 4 months out and about and then once we hit Nov and Dec we would still wrap up and go out and about

DS slept in his room in his moses basket or cot from 1 week old (as he wouldn't sleep in a light room) and when we started disturbing him in the night we moved him to his cot, he was 10 weeks old. We all got much better sleep. I know the risk of SIDS but this was a good choice for us, we weren't watching him breather 24/7 even when he was in the room with us.

I think you have to do what is right for you all. HTH

My twins slept in their own cot from day 1. One of us would sleep in their room. But since about 4.5 months they have slept alone.
