DS is nearly 10 months - he sleeps from 7pm til 6.30am ish.
So far so good!
Unfortunately he is a very fidgety sleeper and, even though we put him down with his feet touching the bottom of his cot, he consistently crawls to the top of his cot and then cries because he can't go any further . We thought he was crying cos he was hitting his head, but putting a cot bumper on hasn't made any difference so it must be his inability to move that is frustrating him.
We have another baby due in October but weren't planning to buy anything for this second arrival until September time (experience has taught me to be cautious ), but should we think about moving DS to a cot bed? Would this help or would it just give him more space to move around and still leave him frustrated when he hits the bars and can't go any further?
He's not really awake when he cries out but won't stop crying til we move him back down the cot which is quite disruptive to our sleep! Tough going when you're pg .
Dh has suggested tying his legs to the cot bars but we thought this might be cruel!!
Any thoughts/suggestions/experience much appreciated.
Thank you .
