He used to be OK, took a while to get to sleep but would sleep through. Now he is up every few hours and I am constantly putting him back in. Sometimes DH either has to sleep in there or can be in there for an hour or so while DS drops off. THis goes on all night until about 5am we give up and one of us stays up. Now DH is back at work and DS is up and down like a yoyo but I cannot stay in there with him because DS2 is an evening cluster feeder, and if I feed DS2 in the bedroom his snorting makes the situation worse. Every night DH has been off he has ended up in DSs bedroom, and once he was in with us. I have spent months now putting him back - what else can I do?

No idea, sorry. I still cosleep with my DS. My friend put a baby gate on her DS's room when he did this so he had to stay in there. He was up ALL night - sometimes 30 times (they kept a tally each night).

Hope it is just a short-lived phase. Good luck.

I gave up in the end and he fell asleep on my bed, I put him back but he was back again later. I thought about a stairgate but thought it may be a little cruel...

We used a babygate with DS (but we are V lucky he loves his bed).
Is he old enough to understand stickers/rewards? Sort of, if you stay in bed you'll get a sticker - if you get X stickers you will get a (small toy/trip to park/sweets not usually allowed?)

Not really... He doesn't mind going to bed so much, just hates me leaving. I will talk to DH about the baby gate, thanks.
