Im busy doing gradual withdrawal with dd whos 14mths (cant sleep without me in the room) but she keeps either standing or sitting up. Tonight I had to put her back down almost 200 times. What am I doing wrong, should I leave her to get herself back down, its seems that everytime I turn my back shes back up although she stopped standing just sitting. It took 1 hr 1/2 before she fell asleep, two hours last night so it is getting better, but I only had to put her back down 80 times last night!

What would you suggest??????????/

Hi didn't want this to go unanswered, although am not in any way expert in this , have just been reading this book and just want to say it sounds like you're heading in the right direction, it's getting better as you say yourself.
Just continue on tomorrow, stay calm, keep sending out positive calm vibes for her to pick up on and know that it's ok, even when mummy turns to walk away.
I don't think you should leave her to get herself back down, as they get tired the coordination can go and they can't physically work out how to get down (although unfortunately doesn't appear to affect ability to get up ), so may get distressed about that. Good luck!
