DS usually has 2 naps a day at home but recently doesn't always seem to need them or want them (he will mess around in his cot quite happily for up to an hour before being convinced that sleep would be good). At nursery (2 days a week) he just has one nap after lunch for usually 1 hr but has done 3 hrs!.
He seems ok on it, so i'm wondering whether to move him to one nap at home?
The other day i decided to give it a go and tried to keep him up til lunch but he got a bit grouchy so i put him down. He still took a while to settle but slept 3 hours (10.30-1.30) so had a late lunch. I would be happy with this if he managed 2-3 hours every day!
His routine is all over the place after a few days away, so i'm going to try and get it back on track, but was wondering whether to move to a one nap routine now (with DD we did this at 12mo and very gradually).
Is he too young to cope with one nap a day?
