Making a cot more comfortable

We're about to move DD, 6 months, to her own bed, we're currently co-sleeping. She never took to the Moses basket which I think was because it wasn't particulraly comfortable. Now unfortunately she is used to our bed! The cot mattress doesn't feel particularly comfortable. Anyone have any tips for making it more so?

TIA

buy a better cot mattress .. they have sprung ones in mothercare with a removable top cover that is like a real mattress

I have a warm, flannel-style sheet under DS's fitted cot sheet to make it a bit cosier.

Thanks both. Think I might try the flannel sheet option before buying a new mattress. Can you get them in mothercare?

Hi there. We were co-sleeping so ds2 & dd2 got used to a luxury hungarian goose feather duvet!

The nearest equivalent I found was from The White Company and to begin with I doubled it up and put it under the fitted cot sheet for confort.

Ds2 now sleeps with his over him all weathers but dd2 hates covers and kicks them off so still sleeps on it.

I went looking for a comfier mattress but Mothercare told me they no longer make them as soft as they used to so this may be a better option.
