Sleep

Can anyone recommend a good book to read to help get a toddler to sleep through the night?

Have been looking on Amazon for a good book, there are a few though, can anyone recommend one?

I have a 2.3 year old dd who still gets up at night & is now playing up when being put to bed, i now feel ready to tackle her & get this sorted.

how about 'peace at last' my DS loved this book and still does. He knew it word for word and now can tell me the story.

No cry sleep solution, ELizabeth Pantley is a good one if you want to avoid the CC route. recommends stuff like make your own bedtime book for toddlers.

I've read about the Milpond sleep book too, which I fancied reading, but our library hasn't got it (am not prepared to buy another single book on baby sleep ) - I think they might take a bit more of a direct approach, telling you what to do in what order, whereas pantley (which i did buy, back in the early days when I had hope!) is a lot softer and more sympathetic to those times when it's not going to plan and you go back to what you know works.

Also had the Sears sleep book, again, softly softly approach, can't remember what they say for toddlers, think they have a chapter on them.

We did try a lot of the suggestions in NCSS and they did work...until DH started settling DS by letting him fall asleep with him, after I'd worked for months teaching him to fall asleep in the cot by himself...but that's another thread on here tonight
