Hi! have posted this in feeding too, not sure if it's a sleep question or a feeding one!

I'm exhausted! DD started feeding more frequently at nights about a week and a half ago, we presumed it was a growth spurt but it hasn't stopped.
She is normally hungry around 8pm. After that feed she basically does not sleep till 3 or 3.30am. She will feed well from both breats, go down and squirm for 20 mins tops before looking for another feed.
MW suggested letting DH settle her after feeds, which doesn't seem to make any difference. HV suggested a top up formula bottle at bed time but I really want to avoid that.
Any suggestions before I lose my mind?!

We topped up with a bottle feed, and still do.

Are you winding properly? Babies can mistake wind pains for hunger pains, and so look for another feed when all they need is a good belch.

Should also have said that you probably need to help her understand the difference between day and night - lots of light, stimulation, talk and play, fresh air during the day, quiet, dark, no talk, no play, stay in bedroom at night. DS was nocturnal too, but a couple of weeks turned it around. Hang in there.

Thanks!! Got her in a darkened room just now...fingers crossed. It's quite tricky at this time of year when it's like night outside by 2pm!

Apreciate your advice.

It may take a week or so. Beatrice Hollyer's book on Sleep has been a godsend for us. Worth googling and uying.
