She's never really slept that much, compared to other babies her age as far as I can tell. OK, we used to get 11 hours out of her at night. But she'd only ever have two 30 min naps in the daytime, and from 9 months she's been dropping the second one.

At the moment (11 mo) she wakes at 5am after 10 hours sleep (incl 1-2 wakings), and has one nap of 30 mins to 2 hours around midday. Much more likely to be 30-45 mins nap than a longer one. She is the happiest little thing and really doesn't seem to need any more sleep, but I need more time out! I'm knackered!

Friends talk about their dcs sleeping 11-13 hours at night plus two long naps at this age. I am v

Any suggestions? Or is she normal and I should just get on with it

My ds goes to bed at 7ish and then wakes at least twice a night. Then awake aroung 5-5:30.

He has has dropped a morning nap and now naps for about 45 mins in the afternoon. He is adorable but hard work. I work part time and am so tired all the time.

No advice just wanted to say I understand, especially when friends have children that sleep through.

thanks lemonadegirl, its good to know I'm not the only one. Sorry I didn't respond last night, I went to bed at 9 in a desperate attempt to get more sleep! I work full time (I have to) and it feels like a constant slog sometimes, but dd is adorable just like yours and makes it all worthwhile!

I'm dreading the 4am starts when the clocks change at the weekend. Fingers crossed it doesn't take dd too long to adjust!
