Hi desperately seeking advice for a 9 mth old who goes to bed beautifully but wakes every night sometimes every hour. have tried all gina f suggestions and cc and water and sleeping out the room ( he is in our room cos will need to share with 6 yr old ) sometimes a new method will work for a couple of nights then we go back to square 1. teething badly and over the months has had sever reflux which he is now medicated for, ear infection, colds etc which all seem to cock up every time there is success. My other two were good sleepers so Im finding this a major shock to the system. help please!

Hi omf, no great ideas but lots of sympathy. Like yours, my DS is a frequent waker and not just due to bad habits he has pretty bad eczema and is also teething atm. I agree with Sitting Bull that it's not the right time for cc, so just do what you can to survive at the moment (co-sleeping, nap during day if you can, share wakings with DP/DH) and once you are sure that there are no other reasons for his waking, then you could look at sleep training if you still need to. Have you looked at the gradual withdrawal method more gentle than cc and supposed to be quite effective.
