Falling asleep on bottle

MY DS is 13 months and from him being 2 weeks old, he has always, no matter at what time it is given, always fallen asleep on his nightime bottle. Should I be worried, is there any damage being done? (except to his 'tooth' as in singular!)

90% of the time, mine does the same (1 year old yesterday !) He has 6 teeth. I brush his teeth before the last bottle (bad I know - but he's always asleep at the end of the last bottle, so no chance of me brushing them at that time !). SPoke to the health visitor about it, and she said, apart from the teeth brushing thing - absolutely nothing to worry about.
Hope this helps !

I've heard about the tooth decay thing but my 12 month DD objects to teeth being brushed anyway so I don't want to start a fight just before bed and leave them. (brushing prior to milk instead) DH says she'll get new ones I don't know, I guess I'll try and change this in the course of the next few months but can't see it being easy.

i have been worrying about this with my 12 mo. we clean her teeth in the bath before bottle and she gets sleepy with bottle. i too know i'll have to change it but am waiting till we have a less hectic time and can cope with having to do the teeth battle and get her to sleep without the bottle.
good luck!

I reckon almost everyone brushes baby's teeth before last bottle. I plan to wait til ds(16 months) is much much older before worrying about it.
