I'm hoping that someone might be able to help. DD2 is 9.5 months and is bfed. She has never been a particularly good sleeper and I have typically had to feed her to sleep. However once asleep, generally around 7pm, she has typically been waking once or twice for a feed (generally around 1am - 4am).
Recently she has started waking around 9pm and is wide awake and ready to play! I feed her, put her down - she cries - and so the cycle continues. Sometimes I bring her downstairs, let her have a little play and then try all over again to get her to go to sleep.

DD1 (2yrs) sleeps in the room next door and I'm always conscious that I can't let DD2 cry too much in case she wakes DD1. I know she's still little and that I should just go with the flow - but wondered if anyone had any wise words of wisdom - should I attribute this to teething (top tooth is bulging, ready to come through) or new found independence of finger foods (I just know that she isn't eating as much as she once was)?

She's at a childminders during the day and sleeps well there - self settles - which she won't do for me. Anyone help??

Hi Shivs

I would not bring her downstairs at 9PM (however tempting this might be).... and encourage her to go back to sleep at 9.
Also I am fairly sure your DD1 won't wake, it's incredible how resilient older kids can be and NOT hear their siblings cry.... I am amazed every day by this.
