6 month old will only nap during day in his pushchair

I really want to break this cycle. When I put him in his cot to nap he screams the place down. I have tried moving him from pushchair to cot and he wakes up!
Does anyone have any suggestions....?

my ds only ever napped in his buggy or car seat (buggy could be indoors but i would have to wheel it around the hallway ) until around 6 weeks ago when I had had enough! he was able to roll and move around so his naps became shorter than he needed because he couldn't turn over in his buggy. He had terrible sleep issues at night so once I had fixed them (wiht cc) I decided that he could sleep in his cot in teh day too. He very quickly got the hang of it and will not take two daily naps there for around 1.5 hrs each. he is soooo much better for it. I believe I did him a huge favour! He was 8 mths old by then. hth

IIRC my two were like this too at this age. It changed when they were moving around and got more tired - then I could put them in the cot (and did CC for a bit at first as well)

Ds1 (2.6) still does it. He has a lovely comfy buggy (which is suitable to age 4) and falls asleep within about 30 seconds of going in his buggy and sleeps for 1 - 1.5 hours. It doesn't bother me at all. He sleeps well at night in his cot but never liked his cot for daytime naps. I decided I couldn't be bothered with the battle and reckon that within 6 months to a year he won't be napping anyway.
