and has anyone ever moved a baby to a siblings room only to move it back out because it woke up the sibling? DD2 8 mo 'sleeps' in cot next to us but could go in with dd1 3,8 yo. - your experiences please!

I think they do, just not at first.

DD1 and 2 wound each other up, woke each other, etc. Now they both sleep though anything, even if one gets sick and we have to go in, get them out and change the bed.

My dad had to sleep with 3 siblings growing up, and he still sleeps like a log.

My ds2 (now 9 months) was moved into ds1's room (now 2.7) when he was about 4 months. I think i stressed more about what might happen so if he made even the slightest whimper i went in, in case he woke ds1 up! But (touch wood) the baby never wakes his brother up!
Think it might be different when the baby is older and able to stand in the cot! can imagine him shouting for his brother at 5am!!!
