Feet to foot???

So I understand the whole feet to foot position but would someone please explain this to my 10 month old......He has recently discovered the art of rolling over (late developer) and now loves to sleep on his tummy.

At the moment I go in and turn him back over whenever I pass his room.... is this the best thing to do??

I'm so scared about cot death but apart from sitting next to his cot all night and systematically turning him back over I don't know what to do....any advice would be greatly appreciated?????

Thanks

Don't worry about it. Once they can turn over it is no longer a risk. The risk drops dramatically at 6 months anyway. If you are still concerned contact FSIDs.

I believe, and will try to find something to back this up for you, that once they can move themselves onto their front and back the risk is very much diminished so you don't really need to worry about it.

Here you go. Advice from FIDS - about half way down it says after 6 months you should still put your baby to sleep on his back but it is safe to let him find his own preferred sleep position. Hope that reassures you a bit.
