OK...My dd is now 8 months & her night & day sleep is getting out of control. She used to wake at 7-7.30am, nap at 9-9.30am for about 45mins then nap at 12am for 1.5-2hrs then bed at 7pm. Would very occassionally sleep through if not wake at 4am, bf, then straight back to sleep. Since Xmas day things have gone all to pot. She has cut her 1st tooth & had a cold & over Jan/Feb we found we were getting up 4x a night & cuddling her for upto 2hrs then sometimes bringing her into bed. So after a month we tried cc, after 3 nights she slept through for a week. Then she started waking again, we thought something must be up, so started cuddling again & before we knew it we were back to cuddling her to sleep. So we tried again a few weeks ago & she slept through for 2weeks. Then started waking again. She now wakes at 5-5.30am, has a nap at 8.30-9am for 30mins, nap at 12.30-12.45 for 30mins..can cuddle her back to sleep but won't fall back on her own, then another nap between 3-4pm which I have to go for a walk/drive in the car for, then bed at 7pm...will fall asleep alone in the cot after bf till drowsy..won't fall asleep alone during the day btw. I always have to cuddle her until she drops off. Last night she woke at 1.15am & didn't go back until both of us had cuddled her & in the end dh got her back at 3.15am! So any suggestions on getting her to settle herself I think that would be the key to improving her day sleep & in turn stop her being a twisty pants all afternoon. When she slept through for 2 weeks she went back to having a 2hr lunch nap.

I feel sorry for you - don't know why this is happening but a few suggestions?

Teeth? Separation anxiety? Got used to cuddling to sleep?

It's tricky, hope someone can help.

How is she feeding?
